ELCO has been in operation providing quality and professional construction services since 2016. The company was created by Ryan Armstrong, whose diverse construction experience qualifies him to manage and build whatever project you may have in mind. We work with all sorts of customers and project sizes, in all budget ranges.

Why I decided to start this business:

​

Over my career as a carpenter while working for different employers, I've picked up on many ways construction businesses have fallen short. From failed budget plans, not quoting projects to provide clients a price for the project up front, to poor communication and unclear expectations on both sides, I've seen many projects that start out as a dream for a client and soon turn into a disaster. I knew I could do better. My passion is continuing to learn my trade while combining all the facets that come with problem solving an idea or desire of a client and doing my best to accomplish that desire in an effective manner that builds on these shortcomings and sees all parties happy in the end.

Credentials and Insurance:

​

What sets Ryan apart from a lot of other contracting companies is that he is a Certified Journeyman Carpenter, so you can be rest assured you're dealing with a trained professional. Ryan is also certified in various safety training courses including First Aid and Fall Protection, to give you peace of mind, while we carry out work on your project. 

 

In addition, ELCO carries the necessary liability insurance while fulfilling our work, as well as Work Safe BC coverage.

Here at ELCO, we seek to minimize our environmental footprint. It is widely known that the construction industry is one of the most wasteful industries operating. Constant research and time is devoted to choosing building materials and methods that reduce our impact. We try to balance the use of sustainable building materials methods as well utilizing products and processes that have stood the test of time for effectiveness and longevity.
